Helicopter Camera Takes Flight at Metcalfe Rock!

I had a fantastic day training the staff of Mountain Equipment Coop Barrie, they were such kick-ass people. My goal of the day was to open their eyes to all of the different styles of climbing and discuss the gear associated with each. Then they can be the ultimate MEC employee. This day was especially unique because that helicopter camera that took flight at Lions Head, followed us to Metcalfe!! This time I was ready to capture this rare species on film.

The coolest part of all was that it was her first ever rappel. She was so psyched and it was really amazing that they captured this moment on film for Ontario/Grey County Tourism. Apparently the photos are amazing.

This is the second year that I have run courses for MEC, I also work with the Alpine Club of Canada and several great climbing gyms throughout the Toronto area. For more information about my custom rock climbing courses and private guiding, go to www.ontherocksclimbing.com or follow us on facebook.

Check it out!!

Down she goes!

Can you spot the heli-camera?

This is absolutely nuts!!
