Spring is here!

Just a few days after arriving in the Red, a week of gloomy weather forced us to hibernate in the hippy van. Van fever set in hard and all of us began to get edgy, lethargic and more and more desperate by the day. We were super close to pulling a plug on our Red River Gorge trip, but then the air changed on Wednesday and this strange glowing ball appeared in the sky. The ball of fire not only lifted the fog, but also our spirits. It added colour to our pale skin and it refueled us on much needed vitamin D. With this new found energy, motivation and well rested bodies, we headed to the sunniest crag in the Red to climb our faces off. After a day of endurance training, we were blessed with the ultimate climbing conditions to play on our almost forgotten projects. The gloomy week has become just a blurr of the past and now our trip starts. Now climbers are flocking to the red in herds, motivation levels are so high its contagious and the spring has finally come. YEEESSSS!!!

  1. Hello!

I am a fan of your blog, your adventures sound like so much fun. Your stories are inspiring to read! Me and my boyfriend were in the red at the beginning of March and the weather was climbable but cold. Have fun in the beautiful conditions.

We are stuck in COLD (but getting a little warmer) Montreal. Keep up the entries! They are interesting, I liked the one about the "skin care"...I never thought to file down my skin!

    cAt:)
